Another Invasion

Manduca sexta (adult form)

Checking my tomato plants and finding one plant nearly defoliated, here was the culprit-- a tobacco hornworm. The genus name, Manduca, means "glutton" in Latin and I can see why the name was chosen for this pest. This one worm took out half of my tomato plant in one day.
