Finally!

I have been trying to get some pics of this most elusive and evasive little bird for months. He is so quick and has been so camera shy. However, this afternoon I was determined to stand by the feeders with the camera aimed and my finger on the button until I got some pics. Well, I had to weed through a lot of blurred pictures and pictures with only a feeder in them, but I got him. He is a second species of nuthatch that feeds in our backyard. You might remember the other species was the white-breasted nuthatch (Sitta carolinensis) , well this is the brown-headed nuthatch (Sitta pusilla).

This is the White-breasted nuthatch. He is much larger than the brown-headed nuthatch.
